Snow Hill Buck Located With Drone

At Delmarva Drone Deer Recovery, we take immense pride in our successful searches. Here’s the story of Caitlyn Kurtz and the eight Point.

Caitlyn went out on a morning hunt in one of the stands she often hunts. After hunting a while, a nice eight point buck came into one of her shooting lanes. She waited until she had a good angle on him and took her shot. She felt pretty good about the shot and waited a bit before getting down to track him.

Caitlyn got out of her stand and looked for blood. Unfortunately she was only able to find a bit of blood, some hair, and a chunk of meat. Her husband and Brother-in-law came out and helped her search. Despite their combined efforts they were unable to locate any more signs of her deer. At this point they knew they wouldn’t be able to locate the deer without help, so they called Delmarva Drone Deer Recovery.

I arrived and soon after dark, we began to search for the deer with the thermal drone. After only 15 minutes we were able to locate her buck and confirm that he was dead. Caitlyn was overjoyed when she saw the image of her dead buck appear on the monitor. After getting the exact location of the deer we were able to successfully recover the buck.

Congratulations, Caitlyn, on your first Eastern Shore buck!
